Rubber Surfaces

Our rubber surfacing options allow for improved safety by reducing the risk of potential injury that may occur with other surfaces. While the material also allows for more complex layouts that can incorporate elaborate colour schemes.

In addition, rubber surfacing provides greater durability in high-trafficked areas where fixtures such as poles, and playground equipment would otherwise require the introduction of weakness points in the form of seams or cuts to accommodate the fixtures when using other materials. Another key benefit of rubber surfacing which relates back to its suitability for creating more exciting layouts and patterns, is that the user of rubber surfacing reduces the material wastage that comes from synthetic grass for example, where the synthetic grass comes in set widths and lengths regardless of the surface area to be covered.

However, Rubber surfacing options are not without their disadvantages, so while they do offer reduced maintenance compared to organic grass for example, they do have a shorter lifespan than synthetic grass, and do require very infrequent maintenance to reach their 10-15 year lifespan. Whereas synthetic grass can last up to 25 years when correctly installed.
